The certificate
When every session in every module is cleared, you receive a Certificate of Professional Completion listing the modules you completed and 20 notional CPD hours, with a reference such as CART-2026-0001 that a head teacher can check at nextgenlearnershub.co.ke/verify. It is professional development from NextGen Learners Hub, not a TSC, KICD or KNEC qualification.

"I took the Certified AI-Ready Teacher training with GMIND Academy, led by Dr. Success Ojo, and it changed how I think about AI in my own classroom and in my school. The experience was too valuable to keep to myself. This programme is my way of sharing it with Kenyan colleagues, adapted to our classrooms, our curriculum and our realities."

The core inspiration for this programme is the Certified AI-Ready Teacher (CART) programme of GMIND Academy, founded by Dr. Success Ojo, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of GMind AI. GMIND Academy's CART programme trains educators to use AI for teaching, learning, assessment and productivity while promoting responsible adoption, and has worked with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) to extend that training to teachers across Nigeria.
Our Course Author, Tobias Obura, completed that training, and its structure of five modules shaped this course: AI Fundamentals for Educators; AI Tools and AI-Powered Teaching; AI Safety, Ethics and Guardrails; Prompt and Context Engineering; and AI Policy and Responsible AI for Schools. Several frameworks you will meet, including the ROLE, GOLD and TEACH prompting frameworks, the VERIFY check and the eight building blocks of a school AI policy, come from GMIND Academy's materials and are credited where they appear.
NextGen Learners Hub is GMIND Academy's affiliate for the CART programme in Kenya, and our Course Author is a GMIND Academy Ambassador. This course is the foundation and the entry point to GMIND Academy's CART Lab: teachers who choose Premium are registered on the Lab, where the grounding they build here prepares them to thrive.
The sessions, Kenyan examples, Readiness Checks and Staffroom Labs are NextGen Learners Hub's own adaptation. Any errors in them are ours. We are grateful to Dr. Ojo and the GMIND Academy team.
